Outreach and Education
Emphasizing inclusiveness and reaching out to the young members of our community, we are creating new and innovative educational programs in 2003. Our efforts will allow students to better understand living with a disability as well as the motivations, drive and commitment of their fellow students with disabilities. Our programs promise to be unique, meaningful and experiential.
Induction and Awards Ceremony
A truly unique evening, our annual Induction and Awards Ceremony will feature this year's inductees and their stories. Individuals from throughout the state of Michigan will join our sponsors, friends, families and officials to recognize the incredible efforts and success of these world-class athletes. Additionally, we honor a Male and Female Athlete of the Year as well as an individual for Lifetime Achievement.
Marketing and Media
Comprehensive planning and a statewide network are the backbone of our marketing and media plan. A consistent approach and constant effort assure that our inductees, sporting events for the disabled and stories of achievement reach those in our communities and throughout the state.
Fundraising and Sponsorship
A portion of our annual efforts is designed to provide the ongoing financial support necessary to sustain the Hall of Fame. A relatively young organization, we run a lean and effective entity, borrowing best practices from the for-profit business community in order to maximize the investment of individuals and business partners. We are proud of our record to date, and recognize the need to expand these efforts to continue to provide new programs and services.
Long Term Planning and Strategic Visioning
As we strive for success today, we plan for the success of tomorrow. Through new efforts that include planning for the next decade, we hope to create an accessible public showcase for the Hall of Fame in Michigan, ongoing training venues and a model for Halls of Fame throughout the nation, among other efforts.
