KEN HUBER
Enshrined October 3, 2002

A multi-talented athlete, Ken Huber has competed in bowling, motorized slalom, air guns and table tennis, being honored with the Spirit of the Games Award at the 1999 National Veterans Wheelchair Games. His abilities have earned him countless gold, silver and bronze medals over the past 15 years at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.

Ken has also captained the Ann Arbor VA Wheelchair Team. His leadership and conduct have earned him his team's Sportsmanship Award as well as the "Most Inspirational Athlete" award.

Ken has served as past National President of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) and served as Sports Director of the PVA. Honored as the Michigan Veteran of the Year, he is a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Michigan PVA. He served his tour of duty in the Vietnam War-era as a Navy veteran.

In his hometown of Milan, his community involvement is just as extensive as his sports career. He has served as a Big Brother, serves on the Milan Public Transportation Board of Directors, a peer counselor at the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, as well as a deacon in his church.
